WHY SHOULD I VOTE EARTH?

What's In MY bag? Not much

Everyone and their dog.... and me is doing the 'What's In Your Bag' (link: http://shoppingcartdisco.com/?p=756) thing and I think it's really a cool idea. This just proved to me how boring and geeky I actually am.

Not much in my bag as you can see. I am NOT a girlie girl when it comes to purses and crap. If I didnt need to carry crap with me, I'd rather not. Most often I take my license and my cards with me if i need to shop cuz i hate toting around a bag/purse. If I could deal with the feeling of a brick in my back pocket and get spinal issues from sittin sideways in chairs due to a brick in my pocket, I totally would. So with that said... look how boring I am!!

1. My Roxy purse. It's small and has buckles and hangy chain thingies. Im a HUGE Roxy fanatic so most everything I own is Roxy.

2. My black leather wallet that I know doesnt match but I dont give a rats patootie. It holds my billions of cards and my checkbook so I'm set.

3. My iPhone. Dont leave home without it. Although my service in my area sucks so it's mostly an ipod touch to me.

4. My Oakley Script sunglasses. I've owned these about 3 years now and they are still my favoritestest glasses evar!

5. Tylenol. Need I say more?

6. Chapstick. Again... do I really need to list reasons why I have this in my bag? Didnt think so.

7. Lysol disinfectant spray. Common it's cold season and people can be so nasty!

8. Hand Lotion. Winter is mean to skin!

9. Gum. Not a huge fan of this flavor. Im more of a trident lover myself but I was feeling daring one day and opted to venture off and try new things. It's not great.. but it's not bad enough to let it go to waste by throwing it away.

10. 2 data drives. 2GB and 4GB I believe. Whats on them, i'll never tell. MWAHAHAHA seriously... cuz i have no idea whats on them. Probably pictures/graphics.

11. Keys. Pretty much all my keys are on one chain. I'd lose sets if I had to seperate them. Lets see... my car key, my house key, Mailbox key, Pool key, storage key, and the key to my security gate.

12. Highlighter and pen. I think the highlighter was left over from my small group I attend and was just too lazy to take it out. a BLUE pen. Im a pen racist and I will openly admit to it. I only do blue pens. I dont know why... but any other color can go take a hike! :P

So yea.. that's about it. Pretty boring eh? :P

New Hair & FREEBIE!

New Boots @ Refuge

Well after lots of frustration and time, I finally finished the project I was working on. Project... BOOTS!

Yay my first attempt at sculpting some footwear and low and behold.. in the form of boots. Let me introduce you to the newest members of the Refuge family.

This boot is what started it all. This boot comes with free updates that will include new patterns and a new scripting structure once the script is finished (looooooong story behind this one). This boot is fully customizable to where you can change the leather as well as the sock color/patterns. I personally dig the stripes. Each foot acts independantly so you can mismatch your boot and socks. It is Copy only and contains a resize script for easy fitting. (be sure to read the notecard first when purchasing for directions)

You probably might have noticed that I like basic and somewhat plain items. I don't know why. I'm like this in RL too .. go figure. This is a simple chunky boot... sister to Paradox. This is pretty much the naked version of Paradox. The leather is a bit different on it and it's available in three colors. Black, Dark Brown and white.

I hope your AVs feet are happy... I know mine are. :D

A friend asked me why i never blog on this blog anymore... and well it's for a few reasons but figured I'd be safe with this post.... unlike the last i had to remove.

But i wanted to give a big thank you to those of you who sent me birthday wishes. Im not that kind of person who announces when it's my birthday so when people remember and say happy birthday to me, it means a lot to me. SO thank you all!

Oh and a very special thank you to my baby who sent me 12 of the prettiest smelling roses. These were totally unexpected and while I kept pounding into him not to send me anything, a part of me is really glad that he did. Stubborn, I know... but you just can't tell him no when he's set on something. After almost two years together, he's proven that fact to me. :P Thanks again baby and I love you!

Gritty Kitty: Scene

Finally Noam has made hair for the girlies. YAY The little bow is friggin adorable with menu driven texture change to get the right pattern for your outfit. The thing i love most about this hair is the bangs. Noam did a great job swooping them to the side and making the overall hair messy and (I hope it's ok that I say this without upsetting Noam in any way haha) emoish. :P But since it's past my bedtime, i'll say just one more thing.... GO GET IT! It is located at Gritty Kitty's main store in Koreshan. OH and (so much more for just one more thing huh) it comes in streaked multicolors too so be sure to check those out as well. now for reals... im done :P

Coming Soon To The Sinistyle Near You

I cant resist. There's one of the most awesomestestest boots coming out soon over at Sinistyle and I figured i'd wet your palette a lil showing them off to you. I generally cringe when people show sneak peeks at items that are not yet released but in this case.. I cant help it. Word on the streets... and by streets i mean SL.. and by word I mean directly from the creators pixel lips... that there is a plain version without buckles as well and they are just as sexy as these. But... im a buckle girl so naturally i flocked to these moreso than the others.

These boots are named Deception and are beautifully sculpted sleek leather boots with the chunky heel and sole. I really cant seem to bring out the details in the pictures but lemme tell you.. they're hot!! No word as to when exactly they will be out, but they will be worth the wait I can promise you that. :)

So yea... that concludes my teasing. I shall now crawl back into the hole from whence I came. or something like that. haha

Personal Post: Update on Crapage

Well it's been 3 weeks now down this long seemingly endless battle to figure out what the heck went wrong to where my body felt the need to transform into an anxiety carrying insomniac. Things still are not back to normal but I have seen improvement in them.. just not as much as I had hoped. So just gonna sum up where I am now and where I have been since my last post. But before I do that.. I just wanna tell all of you who took the time to read and to leave encouraging words and stories from your life how appreciative I am to know I'm not alone and there are other people who have overcome a lot of these things.

So here's a generalized list of things I've done.

1. Got Educated

As much as I hate reading.. I've been taking this 'Attacking Anxiety and Depression' 15 week course. It made me understand exactly what Anxiety was and the effects it can have on someone. It also made me realize that depression comes generally hand in hand with anxiety. I'm on lesson 4 now and I feel the tips it's given me and the general knowledge about what it is and how to overcome it on a daily basis. I'm happy to say.. my anxiety level has gone down significantly. In the beginning I was having panic/anxiety attacks every hour or so and now it's just occasionally. (mostly at night where my battles still continue)

2. Got Talking

Last week I spoke with a general therapist in a short introductory session (since it was all I could afford) and we spoke about things going on in my life. My family, my relationships and who I saw myself and what I wanted for myself. She told me a few things that I kinda felt she was gonna say but I didn't want to hear. Basically told me to eliminate anything I can that is causing me stress to buckle down and rebuild myself from the ground up instead of putting out little fires here and there. Most of them I can handle but I'm really having a hard time with doing what she suggests on one certain aspect. I know in the long run it should be done to get my life back on track.. but I don't think I am emotionally capable or strong enough to deal with it yet. Apparently there are things that our subconscious thinks that we are not aware of and until I step in and eliminate that stress.. the subconscious will never be clear. She feels the stress and guilt that I carry (tho repressed to subconsciousness) maybe the underlying factor in my anxiety attacks and my insomnia. She mentioned hormones too but I really have no idea how to control those. LOL

3. Got to Sleeping (NOT)

This all leads me to my root issue at this present time. Sleeping. I just cant seem to do it without the aid of my sleeping pill and even that I'm not supposed to take too much. I have attempted three nights in a row after taking Ambien for a week straight and each night .. no matter how tired and exhausted I was.. I was unable to fall asleep. Friday night I didn't get to sleep till about 4:30am. (when going to bed around midnight) Saturday night.. I didn't get to sleep till around the same time. Sunday night went to bed around 11pm... I fell in and out of sleep (never a deep sleep) off and on through the night .. did mostly that stage of sleep where I feel like I'm asleep.. but I hear everything around me.

4. Got Techniques (which.. don't work either)

I've been trying different methods to get myself to fall asleep. None which work unfortunately without that brilliant sleeping pill. I've tried to learn to knit... I've purchased a few books to read (which generally puts me to sleep prior to all this cuz I hate reading and the eye movement tires me out).. I've tried putting on a boring movie.. I've tried the warm shower before bed (which I think woke me up more than put me into a sleepy state).. I tried getting sleepy music (which sometimes helps but not often).. I've tried the "Sleepy Time Tea".. which only upset my stomach. I refuse to drink alcohol or anything unnatural tho. I find myself just laying on my pillow with my eyes closed just waiting and waiting to fall asleep. Seems when I do fall asleep.. usually around 4-5am *rolls eyes* I have to be laying on my back propping my upper body up slightly. Then I wake up with a stiff neck and back pains cuz I can't sleep on my back.

What my plans for the future include:

- Trying not to rely on Ambien

- Trying to talk myself into saying it's ok if I don't get a lot of sleep.. I can function still (just not too many nights in a row)

- Trying to find better ways to relax my body enough to get to sleep

- HOPEFULLY SLEEPING!

Improvements I've noticed:

- I'm eating more. My nerves were so crazed i wasn't eating and dropped 10 lbs.

- Less Anxiety attacks.

- Times I DO fall asleep on my own.. I can sleep a solid 4-5 hours opposed to before only sleeping 2 then waking up.

- I can control my anxiety better when I feel that first few pulse races

So with all that said ... I'm glad I got it all out in the blog as a way of getting my thoughts down. If anyone has suggestions.. I'm entirely open to it. Thanks for listening everyone and to all my friends who have been there to listen to me whine ... I'm very thankful to have you. I know there's nothing you can say that will fix my situations.. but just knowing you're there to listen is one of the biggest helps you could do. I feel talking about things helps me cuz i tend to keep things bottled up inside. So just know... you're totally adored and cherished and I hope one day I can return the favor threefold should anything arise in your lives.

This month has flown by so fast for me and I feel like I never really had a chance to get into that Holiday spirit like I normally do. But... Krius and I were at least able to manage to make a holiday card together. This card was meant to be like a comic book. We wanted to script our card to throw a snowball at the reader when the card opened.. but ... our supply of scripters is limited so just pretend. haha

Personal Post: Terrors & Anxiety

** BEGIN UPDATE **

I went and visited my doctor today and she prescribed me some sleeping pill called Ambien that should help me get some sleep and work off some anxiety in the process. Tho I'm kinda scared to take something that I know will knock me out. I mean I'm sure it's safe.. but there's always that thought... what if i don't wake up??? or how will i feel in the morning?? Will I become addicted?? what happens when i don't take it?? Will it all come back?? I'm realizing now im very pessimistic about things lol

Hai guys! This is more of a post to get off my chest and hopefully if someone out there has gone through some of these experiences... can offer some words of advice.

First let me start off with a short background history. Since I was around 5, I've had a few small cases of night terrors that woke me up out of my sleep leaving me feeling terrified (not exactly sure of why) and alone. Even if my mom and my brother were just down the hall... I felt like I was the only one awake in the world and that always scared the bejeezus outta me. Usually took me waking up my mom and then her calming me down enough to go back to sleep. Nothing major but they occasionally sparked up as I've grown.

This past Sunday night, I had another. Not really a HUGE deal... just walked around a lighted hallway and then was able to shake the scared feeling and get back to bed and fall asleep till morning.

Monday, the next night.. worst night I've experienced ever. I fell asleep just fine.. but about 30 minutes later.. I woke up and was in more fear than ever and couldn't shake it AT ALL. I tried watching TV to get my mind off it.. I tried going down to my couch to sleep... NOTHING was shaking the feelings I was having. Then all of a sudden I felt my chest tighten up as my heart raced and I started to sweat. Now this was new and I really didnt know how to handle it and the fear of not only the night terror.. but having this anxiety attack and not knowing what to do really put me over the edge. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night.

Tuesday, I called in sick to work since I was NOT in the right frame of mind to be working and experienced my first bout of never truly waking up out of my terror mode. I felt scared and anxious all day. I didn't want to even be in my house because I felt the anxiety tense me up. I tried to spend some time out of the house and taking walks (even tho it was really cold out). The closer night came, the worse I felt because I dreaded it happening again. I was a rack of crazy nerves. So all the worrying kept my chest all tightened up and my stomach in knots. I've not really eaten a full meal since Monday night before that attack happened. Since then I've had maybe a total of 5 bites of each meal before I felt full or sick to my stomach. So that night of sleep wasn't at all any better. Granted the fear wasn't there as much.. but I seem to now be experiencing a bout of insomnia. As tired as I have been.. I cant seem to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Wednesday came and when did wake out of what sleep I was able to manage outta the long night.. I awoke with that fear of being alone again. I immediately got up to get my mind off of it and got ready to go to work so I wouldn't have to be home again when it seems my anxiety builds there. Of course at this point I feel like a zombie just dragging along with little sleep and food. No emotion other than worry and sadness for the most part. I tried to busy myself at work as best I could under the circumstances. Naturally... as night came... the worry began to increase no matter how hard I tried to distract myself. I took a quick hot shower to hopefully help since I was a little scared of locking myself in a bathroom.. and I drank a cup of some chamomile tea. Took about an hour to fall asleep at first.. but woke up and low and behold... took about 2-3 hours to fall back asleep again. I've had to cover the clock so I wouldn't worry about how much time has passed so I don't know how much sleep I was able to muster up. but in that 2-3 hours of me trying to fall asleep.. I tried to concentrate on my breathing or heart rate and notice my heart was racing. Trying some breathing techniques I researched the net on, I felt failure at getting it down so I sat up for a little bit and put a movie on trying to get my mind off it and get my heart rate down. it helped a little.. I felt myself drift off into a sleep. probably not a deep sleep but something is better than nothing. I woke up a few times in between. Still... cant eat much at all and feel like the living dead. I miss feeling happy and alive.

I know thats a lot of reading... but if anyones followed along to this point and have any comments suggestions on anxiety or panic attacks.. i'd LOVE to hear them. So far all the help i've been given.. hasn't worked very well for me.

Trinitee facts:

1) Went through two years of Nursing school.. yet to this day work as a graphic artist / web designer.

2) Despite reading blogs and chat on a computer.. I don't like reading at all. books to me are nothing but decoration or methods to stop a wobbly chair or table. Yet I do find it odd that I love going into bookstores. o.O Go figure right?

3) I have worked as a freelance photographer.

4) I've never smoked, done any drug, nor have ever been drunk in my entire life.

5) I've also never broken any bones yet have been hit with a ski boat while on a jet ski and had my leg caught in a tire of an ATV. Oh and no surgeries.. unless lasik counts. :P

6) One of my hobbies includes modifying cars.

7) I'm actually quite shy which I suppose would come across as me being arrogant at times or something. I guess I just like keeping to myself and avoid any conflict whatsoever since I'm also very non-confrontational and care very much what others think of me.

8) I have a very clean vocabulary and have had friends TRY to get me to curse. But more often than not.. they fail. neener neener boo boo *cough Rad*

Wild Fires & Halloween

So Cal Wild Fires :(
The picture here was taken with my iphone on my way home from work at 4:30pm. I took it cuz it felt like night time with the smoke covered sky and the red sun (which i made sure i caught in the reflection of the Truck and SUV in front of me)

I wanna start off tho by sending out a thank you to a few of you who have IMed me making sure I was safe from the Wildfires we've been having here in California. For those who don't know.. my house is two blocks from the Santiago fire.. and about 2 miles from the fire in Irvine. Needless to say the smoke and ash from the San Diego fires as well.. it's not been a fun week. I've had a few friends that were mandatory to evacuate from their homes. thankfully the firefighters were able to keep the fire away from their house and they are now able to return to their homes. My housing edition was only under voluntary.. but not mandatory evacuations. So a week later.. we're still seeing smoke and ash fill our sky. Thankfully it's not as bad as before since the fires moved more away from my home, but it's still there.. and might I add .. I'm soooo over the smell of smoke at this point.. it makes me wanna gag now. So my thoughts go out to all my fellow Southern Californians who've had to put up with what I have and much more.

Right Brain vs Left Brain

This was being passed around at work and I thought it was pretty clever how our eyes/mind can change something that doesn't change. They say... depending on which part of the brain you're using ... it rotates a certain direction. At first I thought it was just the way the image was animated.. but I grabbed it and opened it up frame by frame to see how it was animated.. and it doesn't change AT ALL.

Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most people see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Happy Birthday My Baby!

Just wanted to take a moment outta the day (tho it's already pretty late) to wish my most loved bf a very happy birthday. I wished more than anything I could have spent it with him in person.. but Ginko was a tool and decided they didn't feel the urgency in getting me all my saved money i had to buy a plane ticket to go see him. But this wont be the first birthday opportunity. I have every birthday forever to spend with him from here till forever. I know this might be a bit mushy but I'm just really in love and everyday since we met I've missed just being able to hug the piss outta him. (tho no piss actually came out when i did squeeze him)

So Chris, I hope you had a decent enough birthday and again I wish I could have been there to spend every minute with you and spoiling you rotten... but we know circumstances have their way when it comes to Ginko. o.O i love you very VERY much and miss you more and more with every waking moment.

Refuge Update Group Switch

Just a reminder.. the update group has switched over to the Subscribe-O-Matic. My decision for the change was to free up group spots as well as a more reliable way of sending messages out to the group. The way SL has been lately I have been having a ton of problems getting my updates out and that really sucks. Also I dunno about you.. but trying to find the right group to leave just to join an update group is silly. Many of us HAVE to be in these groups and if you can avoid it and STILL get updates then I say that's a win win situation any day. Besides.. I'm all for avoiding chat spam. Nothing drives me more insane than leaving an update group chat a quadrillion times. So stop by Refuge in Koreshan and click the update group sign next to the stairs and that's it! You're ready to get updates! I will have an exclusive out to the group soon so if you snooze.. ya loose. :D

Last week I posted a poll in the blog and asked you to cast your vote as to what you'd like to see more of coming out of Refuge and I'm soo glad you did! YAY Seems Womens clothing was next up on my 'to make' list so I buckled down and got bizzaayy! Today I bring to the table not one.. not two.. not three four or five.. but SIX new items. *faints* SO here we go!

First up on the list is the Ribbed Lace Cami. I've noticed I tend to make a lot of darker neutral colors so I decided to spice a few things up and add some subtle color without dominating the whole upper body. These are ribbed and all trimmed at the top with black lace and there are both shirt and jacket layers for each color. You can purchase them separately or as a fat pack.

While still in my 'i need more color' mode.. I popped out a wrapped vest with prim tie in the back. I seriously dunno why i made so many colors but i figured since I went ahead and uploaded them.. surely someone will like them. Each color comes with the solo vest and a version that includes an offish whiteish greyish tank under it.. if you're afraid to bare that midriff. :P

Thirdly, I put together a full outfit inspired by a RL photo I had which consists of leopard tight like pants and two tanks. One with a skull and the other with a fire/skull/guitar motif. I've been requested to make cuffs for these pants by the uberness, Satine so those will probably come out shortly if you're interested in prim cuffs for the pants. And whats funny is.. i just now realized that my poster says Separates on it and not Full Outfit. *smacks forehead* I'll fix that later. I'm at work. shhhhhhh

Now my fav. of the bunch.. This was originally gonna be a full outfit but I wanted to have more colors so I figured i'd let you all make you're own combinations. The cute girlie skull is emblemed on the tops on a jacket layer in 6 pastel colors... with 6 bold basic sporty shorts with prim ties and a worn out skully graphic on the left leg. But the part I like the most are the socks. I made two colors in two sizes. Originally I was going to make the strap to the sock a prim strap but when I was building it.. it just didn't look right so I quickly hit that delete button.

Apparently everyone was scared to break it in so I just went at it and hopefully the flood gates are now opened. As Noam stated.. and i'll quote him since it's pretty much what i'm trying to say and I couldn't say it any better...

What to expect? I can't say what others will blog, but uh, Huh. I have no idea what it'll be like. We'll post.. things.

So with that said.. have a happy trip over to the Koreshan Pointe blog and carve your name into the bathroom stall doors. :P

New Hair & New Store

And something new to put in the new store... a new hairdo! Sinjun actual inspired and named this one. She wanted some hair that covered the eyes. So.. I did. Meagan has a scripted colored band so you can color coordinate with your outfits and it's pretty long.. but falls so pretty I think. :) Demos are available in the main store. :D

D-Skin is D-licious

So Sinjun tped me to this store the other day, named D-Skin, and I saw the prettiest minimalistic skins. There's not many of them, but whats there is uber pretty! I'm pretty picky when it comes to skins so this is a big thing for me.

One thing I immediately noticed these skins had that no others I've seen had were the neck lines. Adds a lot of depth to the neck when you see these lines. I have a closeup pic on my flickr if you wanna see more of the face. Click Me, Click Me!

From what I could tell.. you have to purchase the entire avatar to get the skin which comes in three different versions.. but that didn't stop me. >:) Anyways definitely go check out these skins.. i'm sure you'll like em just as much too. :D

With all SL's stoopidity... I managed to finish up this hair style i'd like to introduce as Chloe. :) This style has the bangs held back loosly with two little clippies and a high ponytail. As all other packs.. the faded red tipped bangs only comes in the fat pack.. So if you want a hair color that not a lot of people will be wearing.. then check out the pack. :)

Can't tell you how excited I have been on the issues SL has been having lately. No TPs, No texture Uploads, had a bitch of a time trying to change my tag to finish up a project i was working on, no profile loads, no search... and sales have SUCKED and is putting me behind in my laptop raising funds. I have a new product out which I'm afraid to even blog or announce cuz it's not like anyone can tp to my store anyway. So glad we pay for a wonderful stable system and wish LL would stop breaking things that work and fix the damn group notices! AFH - Away From Home

Welp .. its time for my long awaited vacation. So if you all dont see me around for a lil bit ... never fear.

I've not seen my mother/best friend for 1 1/2 years... so with the birth of my best friends first baby (after they tried over a year to get pregnant) I figured it was time to pay a visit. I arrived yesterday and it's so strange going back to a place you lived 10 years ago just to think things have never changed yet the people seem to have. I never realized how run down parts of this city were till now.. and the people.. i dont remember always being so rude. lol you'd think they'd be nicer than the folk in California but dang.

Today i'm pretty stoked and only a few select people know why. So wish me luck and i'll see you all when i get back from my trip. :D

New hair released today over at the main store in Koreshan. This style has a menu driven texture changer so you can change the textures of the bandana. Choose from 10+ patterns as well as just solid colors.

Included in the fat pack is a special style exclusive to the fat pack which in my honest opinion, is one of my fav. color combinations. Be sure to try on the demo!

The 'fetus' of Sinistyle and Refuge has been born under the brand name Catalyst. It was originally gonna be named Sinifuge but last minute we decided to change it. hehe Was really amazing being able to work with my incredibly talented boyfriend on a product we created and molded together. They came out so cute and i'm so proud to say they are now out in front of Sinistyle in a lil shack. :)

This by all means doesn't mean there will be no more releases from Refuge or Sinistyle.. but just a brand where we can collaborate. :D

A few weeks went by and I put it off and was on the verge of asking Krius to make them for me.. but then decided that I'd never learn if I never tried. So I tried and actually made them. GO ME!! Split Personalities

This release took me some time. Seems the last two episodes of Heroes brought out some uber style clothing. I've drooled over both Claire and Nikki/Jessica's wardrobe and when i finished Claire I went right to work on Saunders. Well.. it was either Saunders or Jessikki. :P Anywho... I finally finished and stuck it out on the shelves.. but let Jelly have a lil run around the grid in it first. haha But its done and its out and now i can start on the many other projects on my to do list.

Saunders includes, jacket, prim trench with flexi.. umm.. thingers in the back with an attached strappy hangy belt, (my grammar teacher in high school would kill me if she read this), pants, prim legs, prim cuffs, prim collar and the undershirt separately so you can go whack Sylar in the back of the head with a sign.

Claire & Shila are at Refuge

I managed to get out two new products at Refuge this weekend. Hair and a full outfit.

The outfit titled "Claire" was inspired by ... yes you guessed it... Heroes! I saw Claire walking around in this jacket and I thought.. I want that! With Krius pushin out his Sylar I decided I better get my butt movin before someone else made it so the making process got pushed into gear. This outfit includes.. The top, the belt which is part of the lower jacket, pants, prim legs, cuffs, a collar and shoulder snappies. :D

The hair.. well it started out with way more bangs in the face being swept to the side.. but alphas just suck sometimes so I toned it down just a tad. I included in the fat pack a special one.. well it's special to me cuz I originally made it just for me. It has a few streaks of red in it.. but figured i'd share it with whoever decides they want the 'all color pack'.

So yea... Prims this week.. YAY!!

If you don't like cheese then you might wanna skip this blog post. It's for a good cause... well.. kinda. I don't go mush often in a blog so once in awhile should be okay. It is.. afterall.. my blog. :P

One year ago today a special avatar was rezed into the world of Second Life. While it took awhile.. our paths finally crossed. That day changed my life forever. I've come to know this guy inside and out and he's become my best friend and someone I can see sharing my RL life with.

My first encounter with him was over at the block. Me and Ru decided to go hang and I somehow ended up helping some noob inside FORM while Ru ran and was stripping her clothes off faster than lightning to try on a bikini he was working on. Oh oh and who can ever forget him showing up to the New Years party as baby new year with a stogie and diaper and top hat? LOL Later came a pool party Vas and DT were throwing in which Zab invited me to. Low and behold, witty comedy slowly started to steal my heart. Since then we talked more and more and grew closer and closer. Many nights staying up all night, many skype chats, and TONS of flirting.

Heres just a few pics of a few memorable moments he's brought to my SL:

Corney as it sounds meeting someone in SL and then falling in love with them... but I truly believe if two people are a good fit and meant to be together, it shouldn't matter how they meet. What matters most is not how you meet, or where you live.. but it's what you make of the time together and what you work together to create for the future.

Krius, I am so lucky and thankful you were rezed into my life. You've shown me so much in many things and you've become one of the most important people.. not only in my second life.. but in my first life as well. You've made such an impact on me and I look up to you and admire you so much. You are funny, creative, talented, smart, sweet, amazing and much much more to me. I'm truly lucky and honored to spend my time with you in both SL and RL.

Uber Releases @ Refuge

Ok get ready for this... a big release. *wipes sweat from brow* ALL Seperates this time. This release includes a pack of shirts, a tux like vest, a dude tee (sorry only one this time), and a lil top i modeled after one of my favorite RL shirts. Pictures speak louder than words in this case so here we gooooo....

Parsol: This release includes 7 colors in a polka dot and plain version. You get em both in the color of your choice. Choose from black, grey, red, green, blue purple, pink and and and... i think thats it. :P

Socialite: Yep, more jeans. In your choice of antique, blue and black. These also come with a dirty version. Of course the black and antique aren't as dramatic as the blue. I guess that's why we all like wearing a lot of black... Nobody can tell how dirty we are. :P

Vexed, Amplify & Rogue:
Vexed started out with me wanting to take pictures of the jeans without a jacket layer on. I realized I don't have very many tops that are shorter with the exception of licorice (which is still by far one of my favs) and I've been using it a lot lately. So i whipped up this little tux lookin vest. It didn't come out as good as i had hoped but it did the trick. I marked it down in price since im not completely satisfied with it. then again.. i'm picky. I also will be giving this out to my update group. So if you're not in it.. get in it and get free stuff. :P

Amplify: This top is my RL top. It's my fav in RL and is starting to become my fav in SL. This is a top that crosses in the front and angles back with lil flexi ruffles.

Rogue: This one was just fun. I wanted a cotton-like texture for the shirt and think i did a decent job in doing just that. The tribal markings were a lot of fun to twist and turn to create the design. Now i know i normally make Noam pose in my posters... but this rare occasion I totally forgot while he was on and couldn't get him to model the shirt.. so i found more eye candy for you guys to drool over. Dont worry ladies... I'll catch that sly cat next time so you can stare lovingly into his pixel eyes. :P

SL & Originality

Been awhile since a rant but I think I'm well overdue for this one.

Is it so hard to be original in Second Life? It must be. I try hard to be original and wear certain things that are me that I KNOW nobody else has for that one reason. I don't want to be another avatar molded out of another one. There's a specific person in SL that must watch my every move and mimics a lot of stuff I wear to define my AV. This weekend I noticed this avatar sportin something i knew only I had which means they went out of their way to mod the heck out of one product to come up with the thing I wear every single day in SL. Something I specifically asked Krius to make for me. Now that feels tainted cuz this person found a way to mod existing product and come up with them.

A few other characteristics and traits I've seen this person show annoyed me but i brushed most of it off. But yesterday was really the last straw and now I'm just pissed. It's one thing to copy something that you can buy off a shelf and wear. but to go out of your way to copy something that is NOT sold.. thats just NOT cool. A select few know who this person is and I'm most definitely sure the person doing this knows exactly who they are.

I also notice little things such as a trend in tattoo's. My tat is 100% custom and low and behold.. a few weeks of wearing it, I notice this person mimics that as well and now also sports characteristics of my tat. Down to the location of the symbols on the neck or the tribal thorns around the arm.

When I first ran across this av.. my av used to be blonde. My AV switched back to her dark roots Nov/Dec of last year and has sported the dark locks switch. No surprise.. this av has gotten into the hair dye and switched from blonde to dark as well. o.O

I've had a little issue with this person for quite some time as it is so there is massive history with this person not being original and cloning others creativeness. A ways back when it first started, I was asked if I had an alt. After laughing and saying no, I was shown this person through snapzilla and various other profiles. When I got to her blog.. it was (at the time) my entire blog layout that I had custom made. Since then I've felt the need to kinda keep watch and it's been SEVERAL months of noticing very uncanny resemblances.

So anyways.. I know SL is somewhat restricted in appearances since skins are mass produced and shapes can tweak every second of the day.. but when these similarities rise up over and over again with the same person, it can wear on someone. SL gives you the freedom to change up at the drop of a hat and has sooooo many options available... BE ORIGINAL and get something that defines YOU. Not someone else. Anyways, while venting usually helps make someone feel better.. i don't know if this issue will ever be put to rest. Should I let this bother me? Who knows but it REALLY does.

Below i've posted a sample of the resemblances. Like I said.. some things cant be helped. same skin, big deal, same clothes, big deal, same hair, big deal.. but when you start nit picking the tiny things that become a characteristic of yourself.. and you see it cloned.. it just pisses you off. I wouldn't have said a thing until I saw my cuffs that Krius made for me on someone elses' wrists.

zOMG HAIRz!!

I've done tortured myself enough for a week and have a hairstyle to show for it. I feel like i still need more practice at this so called hair creation thang. This style was inspired by MEEEE! haha seriously this is pretty much how I wear my hair in RL about 60% of the time. Therefore I thought it'd be a good challenge to get it into my SL. Created a helluva bunch of new textures for it. Some look better than others but thats to be expected. 14 textures to choose from. Since it's mothers day and I finally concluded the torture of the primfest.. I decided to name this first style after my mom. So there you have it... Sharon!

Bake Sale In Koreshan!

Well after about 3 weeks of hinting around that we'd be having a bake sale in Koreshan... it's finallly happened. Designers of Koreshan have strapped on their aprons and burnt many fingers to make delicious (this word is used lightly) treats for you guys. some in which contain small gifts but you'll have to figure that out on your own. :P

I made worms in dirt. like .. literal worms and literal dirt. And yes even the worms which haven't died yet slither around... but it's not like you're really eating it so what do you have to lose? hehe

A few other delicacies include mice muffins from Noam, a tattooed cake from Sinjun, Cookies from Scribbles, Parfait by Chicanery... but seriously just go look for yourselves. These designers took a lot of time outta their creation to come up with something for an exclusive event. :P

OH... I've also thrown out there a freebie Koreshan tee. :P

Convicted Motive

Been trying to get into more prim work to get a bit acquainted with them so i don't fear them so terribly so I made a few more accessories. teehee

Convicted: I've had some fun with the handcuff necklace I thought it'd be fun to have a pair of handcuffs that look like they were pulled apart left to dangle on the wrists. SO .. these were born.

Motive: I made two different textured belts. The stitched one is my favorite but i also made a more flat black version if you just want black. I LOOOOVEEE fat lowrise belts so after a few months of just wanting one, I figured i'd get off my lazy but and give some a try. These have two thin buckles in the front with the flappy end of the strap. They dont size down very much but should scale up easily.

Project Open Letter

project open letter was started after I read yet another open letter in a third party forum begging Linden Lab to fix myriad problems that have been going on daily for more than a year, in some cases extending years. Since Linden Lab had worked actively to cut off two way communication methods (the removal of the official discussion forums as well as restricting commenting on their blog), I knew a post on a third party site was not going to get any attention.

As I thought more about it, I realized that just because we no longer have a centralized place we can raise and discuss issues collectively does not mean that we do not have a voice. While an individual forum post may not draw much attention, the visibility of an open letter on a large number of SL web sites and blogs, along with locations in SL would at least help to get attention to the message. Whether it can bring about change remains to be seen, but the effort so far has been worthwhile.

On Monday, April 30th, the letter will be sent to Linden Lab, and will be posted on participating sites. The letter will remain for a yet to be determined amount of time, based upon the response received. It is not an effort to embarass or anger Linden Lab, who we do have a great amount of respect for. It is simply using the tools we have available to express ourselves collectively, since other outlets have been removed.

Ultimately, it comes down to wanting Second Life to survive and to flourish, not to continue to languish under current conditions. It is something that benefits all of us, and Linden Lab especially. It is much easier to retain customers when things work as promised.

Thank you to everyone who has helped with this project, from helping to compose the letter (not an easy process by any means) to adding your signatures and including it on your sites. Your efforts have shown how important this is to you as well, and that makes it very gratifying. Special thanks to the Second Citizen forum members who actively participated in this process from conception, and to Vivianne Draper, whose original, sincere open letter provided the inspiration for this project.

New Accessories At Refuge.. and they are Prim too!!

Released two accessories at Refuge this weekend. I dunno why I've had the desire to work with prims since we don't seem to get along very well... but I actually managed to make these. yay. There's a collar with spikeys and a worn out padlock and a cuff necklace which I've been wanting to make for... well.. months.

The padlock collar I made for just the ladies since I don't normally see very many guys with collars on with dainty like spikes. hehe I actually attempted to size it up using both my male av and Krius but it just didn't look right. But it's mod so if you're a dude and WANT to try to resize it... more power to ya. :P

As for the cuffs, I made a larger and smaller version so if the small doesn't fit very well you have a larger version to wear... or if you're a guy... the large one should fit ya.

I have Krius to thank for all his amazing encouragement even tho I got very frustrated with them and almost gave up on em. <3

Refuge Releases More Stuffs Yo!

So now that I've opened up the shop in Koreshan... I figured I should have some new stuffs to put into it.

Music For Life - This tee has a skull with earphones with a cord wrapping onto the back (ty for suggesting it Noamslice) with music sheets behind it all. Comes with a long stripey sleeved under tee and a regular short sleeved tee.

Hookie - This was inspired by a music video I watched the other day and named by Rudra. There's 5 colors, sold separately or as a pack, and comes with socks, fishnets, shorts and a faded screen printed skully tie tee. I think this is my fav of the bunch released.

Melting Heart - Went for a fun festive bright sporty tee with a fun lil heart/wing/melt design on the chest. Comes in a shirt layer as well as a jacket layer for length.

Rudra Halter - Named after my beloved Rudra Dal. She has this killer tat on her back she wanted to proudly prance around with but needed a good open back shirt. So this halter was born and named after her. It's a satin like blue/grey fade with a subtle flower design wrapping around the rib section.

Track Suit - Last but not least... the unisex Track Suit. This comes with lots of stuff actually... the skully track jacket with prim collar, 1 grey ribbed tank with matching skully pattern on back, 1 pair of pants with drawn on drawstrings (cuz the jacket falls low on the hips), 1 pair of pants with flexi drawstrings (high rise) and a low rise pair as well... and all can be worn with the prim pant legs or without since I made them all mod.

So yea... that's all she wrote folks!

Refuge Is Open In Koreshan!

Noam has finally released one of the best cowboy hats/hair that i've ever seen. I can't take these off my melon and they look so awesome!! You must get your tail, butt, hindquarters, ass over to Gritty Kitty in Koreshan and pick up these awesomenessess TODAY!

He has two different versons... one with straight flowing hair in a great combination of colors. The hat has an awesome skully emblem on the front.

The other.... has dreads. yes i said it.. DREADS. they rock!! The hat is also scripted to show goggles or not show goggles. I personally love the goggles but im sure with imagination you can figure out which one you prefer. hehehe

Ok so my new hotness arrived on Wednesday. All wrapped pretty and pristine. Its been a good 8 years since I worked on a Mac so I'm still trying to get used to moving around with a completely new setup. Im used to a huge ergonomical keyboard and now feel cramped into this teeny itty bitty teenie weenie bit of a keyboard and a no right click setup. Thankfully they supplied me with a mighty mouse. I've been able to right click in everything BUT Second Life.. so if any of you are mac users on SL...help! This whole holding a key and clicking is really annoying. haha

I have come to the conclusion i will not be launching the new Refuge setup till probably mid April. I would like to have some new stuff to release with the opening so i'll need a bit more time getting used to this puter and finishing up building and texturing the shop.

Anyways.. just thought i'd keep ya posted in case anyone cared. hahaha

I've been keeping myself very busy lately and for very good reasons. I'm rebuilding Refuge in a hot new location. However my computer at home literally blew up so the whole building process has been put on hold since the laptop I'm resorted to using severely blows. I'll probably be ordering my new computer today (Mac Pro w/ boot camp yay) so hopefully I can get this store all finished and textured. It's about 70% done I'd like to think. I just hope i didn't lose all my files when my pc blew up. :S I'm pretty excited and wanted to share a few piccies with you on the progress it's made. I'd show more of it but I really don't really wanna give too much away.

Refuge Releases

Refuge Releases for Das Ladies (or men who like to wear womens clothes) I finally got off my lazy butt and finished a few things I had piling up in my inventory and released them over at Refuge. This release was all for the ladies. Sorry guys.. i need to brush up on my mens fashions.

Licorice: This top was designed after a request by my one and only Krius ♥. It's a pin striped corset top trimmed with a light touch of lace. Comes in aqua, steel, red, brown and black and you get em all!

Versed: This lil top comes with a undershirt version or a plain v neck version with a simple rose pattern and a sheen like finish to it. Very simple really yet looks great with jeans. :P

Suzy Skully: This top I've had sitting in my inventory since December. It was one of those projects that had it's issues and every time I went to fix it, i'd look at it, wrinkle my nose and pull it back in inventory. I wanted to make this for one of my really good friends Sue and REALLY wanted her to have it. So I sucked it up and got it to where I was happy with it.

The top has a pattern of skulls & cross bones on it and has prim puffy shoulder thingers. It's become one of my favorite tops in my store. :)

Last but not least... JEANS! I've started the separates line in January and had yet to include pants on the wall so I buried down and got a lil jeans pack going. More will be released in the future but for now the blues win. The pack includes three colors... Blue, Dirty & Blue washed. Lets face it folks.. jeans feel and look so much better when we've worn em for a week straight. Whats that? you don't do that?? <.< >.> uhh yeah me neither. :P

Just when I thought I couldn't lub my friends anymore.. my rezday had to happen. While Im kinda shocked that a whole year has come and gone and sucked my rl free time away, I think it was one of the best experiences i've had. Krius and Noam .. there just aren't enough words to thank them for the most awesomest surprise beach party evar! They put a lot of their time and effort into something so spectacular just for my rezday and I dunno if I could love them anymore than I do right now. I have the BESTEST boyfriend and best friend anyone could ever have. I'm so lucky to have them. Noam made the most fun grass skirts and looks so great on everyone. Even the boys! Especially with the coconut bra Noamers wore.

I would love to just post every picture I took but blogger might blow up and I've come to rely on it a bit too much and wouldn't have anything to read while at work. So i'll just link you to Noams post with some amazing photos he took. Bless his heart.. kept crashing after each photo and still came back for more. <3

I wanna give a personal thank you to everyone who took time outta their busy RLs and SLs to come and get sand in their pants. I was really happy to see each and everyone of you guys and it means the world to me that you were there. I had sooo much fun you guys .. you don't even know the half of it. I've been smiling ear to ear ever since I logged in.

I think the part that was the best is it didn't seem like it would end. Just when the first crowd started to dissolve, more would show up. 5 hours after the start time of the party, we were still at it! I LOVED it! Seriously .. my most defining moment in my entire Second Life was that day and it's one that I know I will NEVER forget! So thank you once again to EVERYONE who made this day memorable and really made me feel lubbed. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

And last but not least.. Jelly!! The queen of pink whipped up this AMAZING video that looks wicked and one i'll always look back on. Thank you SO much for this video Jells!!

Refuge Released!

Lotsa redoing of almost everything is finally done thanks to Krius crackin that whip and offering lovely incentives to finish. I've done the swap and swapped out Roxee with Refuge. Not only did I redo all posters.. I updated a lot of the current outfits AND even released two womens tops and two mens tops. So yea.. go check out the updates I've made to some of the older stuff... which also includes a face lift to one of the popular outfits Flutterby with even more colors. I'll let you guys go to the shop to see cuz im not gonna image flood the blog. OH OH .. there's even a clearance section now. :P

Ok I COULDN'T resist. This picture is just ... well pathetic I guess in a way. So last night I was spending some rather quality of quality times with that special someone.. and Elika passed over one of the new styles and .. well.. when that happens the world must stop as I aggressively attack the package opening it up and tossing it on my bald head faster than you can say 'duck sauce'. The hair was UBER cute and the hat was FANTASTIC. Krius saw it, and passed over the trucker mudflap texture and i made a copy and did a little texturing to see how it'd look and .. it looked good. LOL so naturally .. i get my trailer ghetto-attire on .. including ripped up jeans, dirty wife beater tank and dirty untied shoes. But did i stop there?? NOOOOO I added in one of Posys battered skins which... for the record... I LOVE! bite marks, scrapes, bruises, band aids... this skin rocks. LOL So I claimed this look as a Britney Federline. :P

So last night was Posy's sock hop party and it was uber fun. Although I was a wee bit late (fashionably of course) it was still hoppin by the time I got there. Everyone looked so cute. :P Tho if you were in world, it was nearly silent minus all the gestures 'RAAAAAAAAA'. We pretty much had a skype party. After the party we played some drawing game and OMG the minds of you all!! *blushes innocently* haha Learned a few new terms to add to my mental dictionary. :P I think Candi ended up winning with like 4 points... I came in with 3 and poor Don with 1 point. Which is ironic cuz he's the only one that could really draw. hahaha

Retail Suicide?

I might possibly be creating Retail Suicide here... but when i first started designing... i was only designing womens clothing. Therefore Roxee was pretty fitting and seemed to be a long term name for the store. But now that I've branched out and am making mens stuff as well.... well Roxee just doesn't really say.. 'men'.

Would it be complete retail suicide if i changed the name of my store? I know it's a huge project since thats redoing every single poster.. which i think i'm up to about 100 already. But it'll be worth it in the end to do it now rather than later when my store is full. Im frightened this will be more damaging than rewarding. Not that Roxee is a huge household name.... but it's no ma and pop shop.

So if anyone has any suggestions or opinions... i'm alllll ears....er... eyes. :P

Releases: Hardcore & Karina Pie

Two womens outfits were released over at Roxee...

The first up.. Hardcore. I gave Noam a project for a killer belt (which turned out better than i can imagine! Noam you're so awesome!) and wanted to make an outfit to go with it... and tadaaaa.... Hardcore was created. You can totally wear it without the belt for the extra cuteness grab the belt off the vendor located on the pillar in the main shop. It comes with both a skirt and pants.

Second, Karina Pie, was 100% completely inspired by Satine. This outfit includes the flood pants with prim flares for the bottom of the leg... plain socks, cherry socks and the juicy tank.

But enough typin... i've enclosed pictures. Yay!

So i've had my share of denoobing some poor little nooblets in game and I see other people hopping from place to place to spruce up their new little friend. I have this idea that I couldn't pull off alone. But basically.. the idea is to collaborate with a buttload of popular designers and sell a noob kit. Cuz basically we all know that when a nooblet is hatched and released into the wild .. we can all spot them a mile away and need a head to toe makeover. The denoobing process generally includes the following...

I would LOVE to do this.. but I can't make hair really nor do I wish that upon any poor noobs head... I can't make skins... Clothes I can do.. but no shoes or ao for me. I dunno if this thought will ever come into play but if any designers wanna partner up with me.. maybe we can come up with a couple awesome denoobification kits.

*shrugs* might be a silly idea.. but i know in the course of my denoobie journeys.. im hoppin all over tp'ing their poor baby soft butts and when all purchased seperately.. it can add up quick in the pocket books.

So not only am I freezing in my cave of an office.... might I remind you this is Southern California.. it aint sposedta be this damn cold.... I'm completely super duper uber utterly bored. I finished all my flash projects that were a nightmare to make so i've been screwin around in itunes, chatting on instant messenger and twiddling my toes (yes you can twiddle toes too) while browsing for stuff to buy tonight when I get in world. I've been cooping myself up in my house for .. oh a day and a half .. while rebuilding my web portfolio and sewin a pretty cocktail dress (which is finished .. YAY).. well with a few exceptions did I leave my house. Sokay.. I just moved so i dont mind playin in it for some time.

Added one of each to the mens separates... womens separates and full womens outfit collections. From left to right...

Flirtatious is a womens top with two layers.. a tank with gold textured stripes to go along with a sheer off shoulder jacket layer. Can be worn separate... well the tank unless you just like walkin around with a sheer jacket showing your women parts :P

Prep is a full outfit that includes the argyle sweater with cheer type flexi skirt and of course undershorts so no camera peepers can check out the goods. :P

Treetop Thermal is a simple little mens top with a thermal type texture. oh oh .. and it's black. yea thats about all i can say to describe it. haha

Im sure more will come. I've just not been very inspired lately and tryin to pull myself out of invisible mode i've locked myself in .. once again. :P

Ok so Noam is totally trippin boo. He made this awesome little number called Micecream Betty for the ladies and he is now swearing off making any more girlsies gear. BIG MISTAKE! haha

So I was going through all my pictures on my hard drive (me being a snapshot whore and all) and I stumbled upon some of my snapshots of my avatar at only 1 month old and it was pretty interesting in the changes she's undergone the whole 10 months I've been playing. Its like when you look back at your old old school pictures and point and laugh at yourself. Anyhooters, here's my before and after...

So I used to dress all pretty and preppy like with tons of heels and had that oh so california like tan that im sportin.... but now I love wearing dingy worn in and dirty clothes, tattoos, lip piercings, lighter skin, my neko ears (with 4 piercings) and tail, and of course.. my height. Im pretty short in world and it's funny to see just how tall people in the SecondLife world are. You freakin amazons. LOL Anyways I thought i'd share with you my changes as i've 'grown up'.

You know those toys you played with a long long time ago? Isn't it funny how they always come back and become popular? I have old 'My Little Ponies' and 'Carebears' sitting up in my moms attic that are probably considered vintage right about now. Whats funny is... all those toys I stole from my brother and played with.. are doing that cycle too. Hot Wheels (which never died) and Transformers. I had 4 transformers back in the day when they were all diecast and not this crappy breakable plastic. ok getting side tracked... the reason for this post.... TRANSFORMERS!! More than meets the eye!

This movie looks so friggin good. Dreamworks/Spielberg did an outstanding job... and there's been so many teasers out there and I finally got my grubby hands on the actual trailer for it. I felt like shouting out MEGATRON and OPTIMUS PRIME... but figured my co-workers would definitely have me committed. I showed it to my compadres here at work and one of them asked me what it was rated..
